Warranty Terms & Conditions
Peace of mind comes standard.
Every new CARLIGHT caravan, dog trailer and horse float includes a 12-month CARLIGHT warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
CARLIGHT 12-MONTH WARRANTY
The CARLIGHT warranty applies for 12 months from the date the vehicle is delivered to the original purchaser.
Covered
Defects in materials or workmanship
Repair or replacement of defective components
Warranty labour completed by an approved repairer
Assistance with claims involving third party components
Defects in accessories or optional equipment
Not Covered
Normal wear and tear, including fabric deterioration
Damage caused by accidents, misuse or overloading
Damage from poor maintenance, storage or continued use after a fault
Damage from unauthorised repairs or modifications
Damage from unsuitable towing equipment or unintended use
An exclusion only applies where the excluded event or activity caused or contributed to the fault or damage being claimed.
SERVICING AND REPAIRS
Servicing may be completed by CARLIGHT or a suitably qualified independent repairer. Services must be completed according to the applicable service requirements, and customers should retain all invoices and service records.
Contact CARLIGHT before authorising repairs for which you intend to seek reimbursement. Damage caused by incorrect servicing, unsuitable parts or unauthorised modifications is not covered by the CARLIGHT warranty.

THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
Your vehicle may contain appliances and components carrying a separate manufacturer’s warranty, including:
● Cooking appliances
● Tyres and wheels
● Toilet systems
● Electrical equipment
CARLIGHT can assist with these claims. A manufacturer’s warranty does not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

REPAIR LOCATIONS AND COSTS
Warranty work will generally be completed at the CARLIGHT workshop or by a repairer approved by CARLIGHT. Any transport, travel or call-out arrangements will be discussed before work begins.
Responsibility for reasonable costs will depend on the circumstances, the warranty terms and any rights applying under the Australian Consumer Law.
